Dental Implants

If you are missing one tooth, several teeth, or all of your teeth, one or more dental implants may be the treatment of choice to replace those missing teeth. An implant is stable and you never have to worry about decay. However, not all patients are good candidates for an implant. Dr. Eric Sterett is able to determine whether you have healthy gums and adequate bone to provide for the long term success of an implant.

Tooth Replacement

A natural tooth has a root anchored in the bone and a crown portion of the tooth which is seen above the gumline. A dental implant replaces the root portion of a tooth. Typically, an implant abutment is then placed on the implant to allow for a crown to be cemented on top. An implant crown can be made of either tooth-colored porcelain or gold (white or yellow). Dr. Eric Sterett can provide both the surgical placement of the dental implant(s) and the restoration, whether single crown or multiple unit bridge (also known as an FPD, or Fixed Partial Denture).

Stabilization of Complete or Partial Dentures

We offer implants placed in our office to stabilize loose dentures or partial dentures. Both conventional and mini dental implants have improved the quality of life of many denture and partial wearers. We can retrofit an existing denture to newly placed implants or place the implants and make new dentures or partials where indicated.
